Tours of the Menai Bridge Bridge House and the Two Bridges

Please note: the Saturday tours are all booked up, but there are still spaces on the Sunday walks, particularly in the afternoon.

Join Menai Heritage & ICE for a chance to see inside the Bridge House of the Suspension Bridge, or a walking tour of the two bridges.

On Saturday 22 June there will be four tours of the historic and seldom open bridge house, where the great chains that anchor the Menai Suspension Bridge are fixed.

Tours will begin at 9:30, 11:15, 13:15 and 15:00 and last 1.5 hours. Please specify the time when booking. Meet at the Bridge House, at the Gwynedd end of the bridge.Hard hats provided but sensible shoes essential. Ladies – trousers recommended as open tread stairs to climb! Not suitable for children under 5 yrs.

On Sunday 23 June there will be two walking tours of the two bridges over the Menai Strait. The tour starts at the Thomas Telford Centre, then goes over and underneath the Suspension Bridge, then through Treborth Botanic Garden to underneath the Britannia Bridge, where the Lions sculptures and a remnant of the old tube can be seen.

Tours will begin at 10:00, and 14:00 and last about 2.5 hours. Please specify the time when booking.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL – limited space/numbers, restricted to 12 per tour in Bridge House, 30 for walk. Cost £5.00 per adult; £3.00 children. All proceeds go towards Menai Heritage Museum.
