- A community project to look at the impact World War I had on the people of Menai Bridge –
- Working with community groups and individuals of the area research will focus on existing materials – photographs, newspaper reports, war memorial names, chapel plaques and family memorabilia
- Local services will assist in further research to find out more about the people who lived through the Great War – Anglesey Archives; Gwynedd Archaeological Trust; Ken Davies (webmaster of Penmon site); Gerwyn James (author of Y Rhwyg ); Menai Bridge Civic Society; Menai Bridge Library; Bob Daimond (Menai Bridges); descendants of servicemen
- Over August there will be a Talk and Walk series and temporary displays in Thomas Telford Centre and other venues in the community
- The Project is being launched on Friday 11th April 2014 1000 – 1200
